Dr. Moskovitz was raised in the Beaver Valley and graduated from New Brighton High School. He studied at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Moskovitz earned his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1973. He performed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the subspecialty of Gastroenterology at the Yale Affiliated Gastroenterology Program at Norwalk and Yale-New Haven Hospitals in Connecticut.

In 1978, he opened his private practice in Beaver, PA. He is trained in the use of medical lasers, specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic hepatobillary endoscopy (ERCP), CRH O’Regan Hemorrhoid Banding, and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Moskovitz is honored to have served as a past president of the Beaver County Medical Society and a past president of the medical staff at Heritage Valley Health Systems.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pittsburgh Gut Club and Western Pennsylvania Endoscopy Society, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Robert J. Fadden, M.D.

Robert J. Fadden, M.D.

Dr. Fadden hails originally from Maryland. He graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD, and earned his medical degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine in 1982. After completing his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Carolina in Charleston he went on to complete a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Fadden joined the practice in 1987 and specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic hepatobillary endoscopy (ERCP), and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Fadden is board certified in both Internal Medicine as well as Gastroenterology.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Beaver County Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, the Pittsburgh Gut Club and Western Pennsylvania Endoscopy Society and, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopist.

Dr. Fadden is a resident of Sewickley, PA. His personal interests are sailing and scuba diving. He also enjoys music playing both the guitar and piano.

Roberto Inglese, M.D.

Dr. Inglese was born in Sora a town near Rome, Italy and received his medical degree from The State University of Rome, Italy in 1980, graduating cum laude. He received his specialty training in Gastroenterology, graduating with top honors, at the same institution. After moving to the United States in 1986, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, New York, and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at The Jamaica Hospital, Jamaica, New York.

He maintains certification in Gastroenterology by The American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Inglese joined the practice in 1991. He has a strong interest in therapeutic and hepatobillary endoscopy (ERCP), as well as Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Currently, Dr. Inglese serves as the president of Valley Gastroenterology Associates.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Beaver County Medical Society, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. 

Dr. Inglese resides in Moon Township with his wife Grace. In addition to English, he speaks fluent Italian and Spanish. Dr. Inglese's personal interests include fitness, gourmet food, movies, travel, reading and playing the piano. 

Karen Jerome-Zapadka, M.D.

Dr. Zapadka is a native of Ellwood City, PA.  She graduated Magna Cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Health Related Professions with a BS in Physical Therapy.  She received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, graduating with honors, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  Dr. Zapadka performed her Internal Medicine residency and subspecialty fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, maintaining board certification in Gastroenterology.  She has been practicing Gastroenterology since 1993 and joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates in 2000. 

Dr. Zapadka has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. She is also interested in obesity and obesity related illnesses, particularly Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. She is currently working toward the Certification in Obesity Medicine. She has received training in CRH O’Regan Hemorrhoidal Banding. She maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Beaver County Medical Society, the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the Pittsburgh Gut Club and Western Pennsylvania Endoscopy Society. Dr. Zapadka is developing, in conjunction with local high schools, a medical mentorship program to bring students together with area physicians and other health care professionals, to broaden their understanding of the medical field.  She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Center of Beaver County.  

Dr. Zapadka resides in Chippewa with her husband, Stan.  They have three grown children.  Her personal interests include fitness, baking, tennis, and travel.

Jonathan K. McClure, M.D.

Dr. McClure joined the practice in October of 2000. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. McClure performed his internship, residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is board certified in internal medicine gastroenterology.

He successfully passed an examination prepared by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Family Practice and is certified to have added qualifications in geriatric medicine. Even though Dr. McClure joined the practice in 2000, he has been in the practice of internal medicine and gastroenterology since 1983, limiting his practice to only gastroenterology since 1995.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians both national and state chapters, American Gastroenterological Association, the AMA, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Beaver County Medical Society. 

Michael de Jesus, M.D.

Dr. de Jesus joined the practice July of 2006. He is a graduate of Blackhawk High School, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He attended medical school at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay, College of Medicine in the Philippines. 

Dr. de Jesus completed his internal medicine residency at Western Reserve Care System Forum Health Youngstown, Ohio and Gastroenterology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh, where he also served as the Chief Fellow of Gastroenterology. He has previously served as a Technical Editor at the Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Centers (National Institutes of Health) in Bethesda, Maryland. 

Dr. de Jesus interests are in Obesity and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, pancreaticobiliary disease, and therapeutic endoscopy. He is board certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. de Jesus is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association and the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology.

Dr. de Jesus is also active in the local community hospital, Heritage Valley Health Systems where he is the Chairman of the Endoscopy Center and Vice-President of the Department of Internal Medicine.

Sean A. Connelly, D.O.

Dr. Connelly is from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates in 2008.  Dr. Connelly earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Allegheny College graduating with cum laude honors.

Dr. Connelly achieved his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Connelly went on to complete his Traditional Rotating Internship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh PA. Both Dr. Connelly's Internal Medicine Residency and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology were completed at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to his GI Fellowship he also completed a Fellowship in Advanced Hepatology and Liver Transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. 

Dr. Connelly is interested in acute and chronic liver disease, pancreaticobiliary disease, and therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP. He has received training in and performs CRH O’Regan Hemorrhoidal Banding. He is board certified in Gastroenterology. He maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

 Dr. Connelly is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, American Osteopathic Association and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Connelly also holds the position of Medical Director at Four Seasons Endoscopy Center.

Dominic G. Ventura, D.O.

Dr. Ventura is from Centerville, PA in Washington County and joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates in 2010.  Dr. Ventura earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ventura completed his Internal Medicine Residency and served as Chief Medical Resident at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.  He then completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Ventura’s special interests are in therapeutic endoscopy and colon cancer prevention. Dr. Ventura is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, American Osteopathic Association, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Beaver County Medical Society.

Dr. Ventura’s personal interests include gourmet cooking, golf, travel, and Pittsburgh sporting events

Dustin Wallace, M.D.

Dr. Wallace is originally from Jewett, Ohio, a town near Steubenville. He joined the practice in July 2014. Dr. Wallace earned his undergraduate degree from Mount Union College and his medical degree at the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and served as Chief Fellow at the West Penn Allegheny Health System.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Wallace’s clinical interests include colon cancer prevention, pancreaticobiliary diseases, and therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. Wallace is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Wallace’s personal interests include traveling with family, golf, and woodworking.

Erin Unen, PA-C

Erin is from the Beaver Falls area. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and her Masters of Physician Assistant at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh PA.  Erin concluded her education in 2000 and joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates that same year.

Erin participates in continuing medical education seminars and maintains membership in the Academy of Physician Assistants. Board Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants, she also continues to hold certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Trauma Life Support. Erin cares for patients in both the office and hospital setting.

April Vinopal, PA-C

Originally from Oil City, PA, April completed her Bachelors of Science Degree at Gannon University to become a physician assistant and completed her clinical training in a variety of required clinical settings through Western and Central Pennsylvania. April completed her Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska.

Before joining Valley Gastroenterology in the spring of 2003, April gained experience as a Physician Assistant in surgery and trauma.

April participates in continuing medical education seminars and conferences annually as well as maintaining membership in the Academy of Physician Assistants. Beyond her required Board Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants, she also maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Trauma Life Support

Carrie Zernick, PA-C

Carrie is from the Beaver Falls area. Carrie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gannon University, Erie, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant. Carrie concluded her education in 1996 and worked in family practice for several years before joining Valley Gastroenterology in 2005.

Carrie participates in continuing medical education seminars and maintains membership in the Academy of Physician Assistants. Board Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants, she also continues to hold certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Trauma Life Support. Carrie cares for patients in both the office and hospital setting.

David Pence, PA-C

Dave joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates in 2007. Dave is originally from the state of Missouri. He spent several years in the United States Army where he served as a medic. Dave completed his medical education at Duquesne University obtaining a Bachelor of Science of Health Science and a Master of Physician Assistant in 1994. Upon completing the program at Duquesne University, Dave worked in family practice for nine years before joining VGA.

Dave continues his medical education by attending medical conferences and maintains membership in the Academy of Physician Assistants. Board Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants, he also continues to hold certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Trauma Life Support. Dave works with patients in both the office and hospital setting.

Samantha Walsh, PA-C

Sam is originally from the North Sewickley and is a graduate of Riverside High School. Sam graduated from Gannon University, Erie, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. Sam achieved her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Science also at Gannon University in 2011. While at Gannon University, Sam was selected to be a member of Pi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants.  Sam joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates in October of 2011.

Sam continues her medical education by attending seminars and maintains membership in the Academy of Physician Assistants. Board Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants, she also continues to hold certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Trauma Life Support. Sam treats patients in both the office and hospital setting.

Janine is from the New Castle area. Janine graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2008. Janine was named to the Dean’s List for all semesters during her attendance. Janine then attended Gannon University in Erie, PA where she maintained a 4.0 while obtaining her Master of Physician Assistant degree in 2011. Janine accepted a position with Valley Gastroenterology Associates in October of 2011.

Janine is active in continuing medical education by attending seminars and maintains membership in the Academy of Physician Assistants. Board Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants, she also continues to hold certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Trauma Life Support. Janine treats patients in both the office and hospital setting.

Janine maintains a residence in New Castle. Janine enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and spending time with family.
